unsatisfying situation

UNSATISFYING SITUATION explores the border between image and installation. The piece shows the end of a corridor. Only the front part of the space can be entered; the rest, about one third of the space, is cut off by a glass wall. The partition is intransparent/gray up to the height of a person, above it is transparent/clear. Accordingly, it allows only very limited view inside. What can be seen is a neon light, fixed at the ceiling of the cut off space. The light indicates that the space might be in use, possibly there could even be a person behind the glass. However, if that is the case and what the purpose of the as functional as unapproachable appearing space really is, remains uncertain.
